The 2024-25 National League season gets underway in August 2024 and concludes at the start of May 2025. This the tenth season since the league was renamed and its the twenty second season since the non-league system was revamped. Once again, there will be 24 teams competing in the fifth tier including Forest Green and Sutton United, both of whom were relegated from League Two. The side who finish top will be automatically promoted to the EFL whereas the six sides who finished 2nd-7th will enter the end-of-season play-offs. The three bottom placed sides will be relegated to the sixth tier - either the National League North or the National League South, depending on their location.
