Bayern Munich v Frankfurt
Bundesliga – 2.30 pm
BT Sport

The Bundesliga title is going all the way to the wire then. We have an exciting climax coming up on Saturday. At least on paper. Bayern Munich are in the driving seat to defend their title and only need a point to secure that. They missed a chance to wrap up the league title last weekend when they were frustrated in a 0-0 draw away from home at RB Leipzig. They are 1/4 odds-on with top bookmakers to pick up the home win on the weekend.

This is a chance for them to win the title again in front of their home fans. So that may be a better way for them to end the season. Bayern are on a ten-match winning streak on home soil in league action, so they are going to take some stopping. This is a tricky game for them though because Frankfurt have it all to play for. If Bayern lose this game, then it could allow Dortmund to rip the title away from them.

Frankfurt, who were losing Europa League semi-finalists against Chelsea, still have a shot at a top-four finish in the Bundesliga. So they have it all to play for on the weekend. They are only one point out of fourth, as they try and muscle their way past Mönchengladbach and Leverkusen. It’s been a tremendous season from Frankfurt until lately at least. They have managed just two points from their last five games. They are a great attacking team but have to balance a shot at the top four, with securing a point that would guarantee them a Europa League spot.

Moenchengladbach v Dortmund
Bundesliga – 2.30 pm
BT Sport

The plan ahead for Dortmund is plain and simple. They have to collect three points in this game. They also have to see Bayern Munich lose against Frankfurt. That is the only way that BVB manage to get their hands on the league title. It looked at one stage that Dortmund were just going to run away with things in the Bundesliga title race. But slowly they were ground down by the reigning champions Bayern Munich.

Dortmund are 23/20 with top bookmakers to do their part and win this game. What those odds hint at, of course, is that they are not in line for an easy game. Dortmund have taken just two wins in their last seven league away games. So there’s that. There’s also the fact that they are taking on Monchengladbach who are going to be defending their top four place on the weekend.

Mochengladbach are sitting fourth, only on a narrow goal difference advantage over Leverkusen. So Monchengladbach can’t afford to lose heavily. So do they sit in and try and defend or look for three points to secure their Champions League place? Monchengladbach are 2/1 to get their win. So theirs is the other fascinating story in this fixture along with the title race for Dortmund. It should be one of the games of the weekend, offering plenty of best bets of the day opportunities for punters.

Manchester City v Watford
FA Cup Final – 5.00 pm
BBC

Premier League title? Check. EFL Cup title? Check. Manchester City have two of the three domestic titles in the bag this season, can they make it a treble on the weekend? The Citizens have won 20 of their last 22 games in all competitions (D1 L1). It has been a stunning run from them. They will go into Saturday’s FA Cup final as 1/4 favourites with leading bookmakers. This would be their sixth FA Cup success, their first since 2011.

City beat Watford in both league meetings this season. Now that their exhausting title defence is over, they should be more relaxed too. This may be good timing for them because Watford have fallen out form at the end of the season. The Hornets have won just one of their last six games in all competitions and have failed to take a clean sheet in any of their last fourteen. The Hornets are 14/1 to pull of the cup upset (90 minutes market) as they seek their first ever FA Cup crown.

Deontay Wilder v Dominic Breazeale
Boxing – 3.00 am (Sunday)
Sky Sports

It looks as if we are going to have to wait a while for a big heavyweight divisional showdown. Deontay Wilder puts his undefeated career record on the line once again on the weekend. This is the first time back in the ring for the Bronze Bomber since his epic draw with Tyson Fury. A rematch with Fury was expected to be next for Wilder, or maybe a showdown against Anthony Joshua. It’s neither and he now need to move past Dominic Breazeale who has been coming for him.

Wilder is as short as 4/11 to win this by a knockout, such is the power of the man. All but one of his pro career victories have been by a knockout. It will be interesting to see his reaction now that his perfect career record was blighted by Fury, who Wilder knocked down twice but still couldn’t finish. In fact, Wilder was out-boxed in the match.

Is that likely to happen in this one? For Breazeale, this is his second shot at the heavyweight title having lost to Anthony Joshua back in 2016. He is a well-rounded boxer and has won his three-fights since his defeat to Joshua. But this is such a huge step up in class to anyone he has faced in his career except for Joshua. He has only been taken the distance twice in his career though and top bookmakers have this at 2/7 to not go the distance.
