Soccer – Premier League – Chelsea vs Everton
This should be a fascinating Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon and that’s why it is the first of my big betting events. Chelsea are unbeaten so far this campaign and they’ll be looking to maintain their record at Stamford Bridge but they are coming off the back of a energy-sapping Europa League clash in Belarus. Everton will be looking to take full advantage of the Blues’ conquests around Europe and I do like Marco Silva’s approach.
The Toffees are exactly the sort of energetic side who Maurizio Sarri won’t want to face this weekend and that makes this game an absolutely fascinating tussle. I also think that this top flight game could produce a few goals with Chelsea netting 15 goals in their home matches so far. Everton are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road so far and although there may be some tired legs on show, Chelsea will make this game worth watching and it’s a hugely competitive betting event which could go either way.
I love the Premier League. It’s fascinating at the top and this game could go a long way to shaping Chelsea’s season.
This match can be viewed on Sky Sports Main Event on Sunday afternoon in the UK.
Tennis – ATP Finals – Kei Nishikori vs Roger Federer
I tend to only follow the majors in tennis but I have also become fascinated with the end-of-season showdown that is the ATP Tour Finals. The O2 is a tremendous venue which is perfect for this sport and I cannot wait for the group stages to get underway.
It’s a shame to see Rafa Nadal withdraw from the competition but there are still enough big-hitters involved here to make it an interesting tournament. It’s great to see my all-time favourite player Roger Federer gracing the stage and he’s got a great chance of overcoming Kei Nishikori in this game.
Federer has already wrapped up the Australian Open this season and he’s still looking imperious despite his advancing years. He is likely to be heavy favourite for this game with Kei Nishikori but he’s lost to his Japanese compatriot twice before which makes this event an intriguing match-up. There have also been tie-breaks in two of the last three meetings and he won’t make this easy for the Swiss.
With the ever improving Kevin Anderson and Dominic Thiem in Group 2, this is going to produce a number of fascinating match-ups and I cannot wait for the tournament to get underway.

American Football – NFL – Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks
I always try to include an NFL game in my big betting events because each weekend provides yet more twists and turns and there are a number of fascinating fixtures taking place once again.
I’ve picked out the Rams vs the Seahawks as it is nicely poised and this game could go either way. I’ve enjoyed watching the Rams so far this campaign and they suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend with the Saints leaving 45-35 winners at the Superdome.
The have the joint best record in NFL this season but it’s a real test of their character now. They will need to bounce back instantly but this won’t be easy against a spirited Seahawks outfit. They have already beaten their divisional rivals once this season but it was a narrow, dramatic 33-31 victory and this could be slightly closer than the betting suggests. The Rams are expected to make it 2/2 against this opposition but I wouldn’t underestimate the Seahawks.
Seattle rushed 190 yards when they met earlier this campaign and it was one of my favourite NFL matches of the season so far. I cannot wait for the re-match and I’m hoping that the Seahawks can make it a close contest once again.

Soccer – Bundesliga – Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich
I simply had to include this Bundesliga clash in my big betting events this weekend. After Bayern’s dominance in recent years, it’s refreshing to see another side challenging at the top of the table. Dortmund have been a joy to watch so far this season and I think they stand a great chance of upsetting the holders here.
Despite losing in the Champions League in midweek, Dortmund are unbeaten in the league and that’s what makes this clash so fascinating. They will want to preserve their unbeaten record and will hope to put clear daylight between themselves and their opponents.
Bayern have not kept a clean-sheet since September 22nd and this game screams goals! If you’re able to watch this game, it will certainly be worth it!
Dortmund have a number of exciting players including Jadon Sancho and Paco Alcacer who have lit up the division this year whilst Bayern are always a force to be reckoned with. It’s fresh, youthful energy vs know-how and experience and I cannot wait to see which way it goes. The betting is fascinating and both sides have a chance of winning this game.
You will not want to miss this one! If you’re in the UK, you can view this game on BT Sport 2.
