The 2023-24 English National League North season began in August 2023 and concludes at the end of April 2024. This league is formerly known as the Conference North and is one of two divisions which operate as the sixth tier of the UK footballing pyramid. It is also known as Step 2 of Non-League system. It sits alongside the National League South and with 48 teams divided between the two divisions, some teams may be forced to undergo substantial trips as a result. Hereford and Kings Lynn are two teams who are based in the east and west of the UK, but due to a uneven number of the teams based in the north/south, these teams have been asked to compete in the NLN. The team who finish top of the National League North will be automatically promoted to the National League (fifth tier/step 1) with the six teams who finish directly below competing in the end-of-season play-offs.
